Fictional Bikers

For those of you that know me, you know that I have a bit of an obsessive personality.  Yes, I know!  Knowing it is half the battle. So, you might be wondering what my latest obsession is.  BIKERS!!!!!

I have always appreciated a hot guy on a bike (those of you that follow me on Pinterest know this). Not a bicycle, a MOTORCYCLE. Preferably a Harley Davidson.

PH-bike

Parker Hurley looks might fine on that bike.

Undeniable 1

A couple of months ago I saw a review on Bookish Temptations for a book called Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan .

Here’s the synopsis:

Warning: This is not a typical love story. This is an all-consuming, soul-crushing, tear-your-heart-into-pieces story. It’s intense, gritty and raw, dark and disturbing, and it doesn’t happen overnight. This is an epic love story that knows no boundaries and has no time limits. It grows and develops—with hurt, sacrifice, and heartache—over the span of a lifetime. Eva Fox is the princess of the Silver Demons Motorcycle Club. Growing up with bikers in the club lifestyle is all that she knows. When she’s a young girl, Eva meets the reason for her existence. Deuce West is the sexy, biker bad-ass of the Hell’s Horsemen Motorcycle Club. Like Eva, he was born and raised in the club—but that’s where the similarities end. Their first meeting is innocent, but as Eva matures into a woman, their chance reunions evolve into a fit of lust and love. Fate continues to bring them together time and time again, but their twisted journey is filled with pain, betrayal, and bloodshed that could tear them apart. Eva sees in Deuce what he cannot see in himself—a man worthy of love—and Eva spends her lifetime proving to him that her undeniable love is the one thing he can’t live without. This is Eva and Deuce’s story. It wasn’t easy. Nothing worth doing ever is. And love is worth everything.

Not a fluffy story by any stretch of the imagination but I was hooked!  It was so intense, I couldn’t put it down.  As far as bikers go, I really did like Deuce!!! (let’s leave it at that)

motorcycle man

To further along my obsession, Kobo sent me a “here’s a book you might be interested in” message.  Needless to say, they had me at the title.

Here’s the synopsis:

Stuck in a colorless world, Tyra Masters decides to chuck her old life and starts searching for something. She doesn’t know what it is until she meets her dream man. The goateed, tattooed, muscled, gravelly voiced motorcycle man who plies her with tequila and gives her the best sex of her life. But she knows it isn’t the tequila and sex talking. He’s it. He’s who she’s been daydreaming about since she could remember.

Until he makes it clear she isn’t who he’s looking for.

Tyra slinks away from his bed, humiliated. The problem is, he’s her new boss. She just may or may not have forgotten to tell him that part.

Kane “Tack” Allen has a rule. He doesn’t employ someone he’s slept with. And he lets Tyra know that in his motorcycle man way. Tyra fights for her job and wins it using sass and a technicality. Tack challenges her that if she hits his bed one more time, she loses her job.

Tyra is determined to keep her job and keep away from Tack. But she makes a big mistake. During their head-to-heads, she lets it all hang out and shows Tack she is who he’s looking for. And Tack has had a good woman slip through his fingers, he’s not about to let that happen again.

Although Tack colors Tyra’s world with a vibrancy that’s blinding, being with him means she has to live in his Motorcycle Club world. Full on, no holds barred. And since Tack’s world, not to mention Tack, is a little scary, Tyra isn’t so sure.

It’s Tack’s job to convince her.

I can count on one hand the number of books that I have reread and this is one of them.  I totally fell in love with Tack.  Clearly I understand that this is a romanticized version of what a MC President would be like but he sure is swoony.

After having read these books I became a little bit obsessed with wanting to watch the FX show Sons Of Anarchy

Charlie Hunnam as Jax

There are presently five completed seasons of Sons of Anarchy.  I have just this week, together with DH and First Born, been having marathon sessions of the show.  We are all totally addicted to the show.  At the moment, we are halfway through season 2.  What a roller coaster ride this show is.

IMDb has this description for the show:  A man in his early 30s struggles to find a balance in his life between being a new dad and his involvement in a motorcycle club.

Despite the fact that these characters sell guns, kill people and basically commit crime, you can’t help but cheer them on.  Of course, Jax’s good looks don’t hurt either!

I cannot wait to continue watching!!!
