ISHO SummaryIn the fourth sexy romance by the New York Times bestselling author of Tangled and Twisted, Drew and Kate can’t wait to tie the knot—if they can survive the pre-wedding festivities.

For most of my life, I never imagined I’d get married. But Kate did the impossible: she changed me. I think we can all agree I was pretty frigging awesome before, but now I’m even better.

The road to this day wasn’t all rainbows and boners. There were mistakes and misunderstandings worthy of a Greek tragedy. But Kate and I made it through with our inexhaustible lust, boundless admiration, and everlasting love for one another intact.

That being said, there were some unexpected incidents in Vegas last weekend that could have been a problem. It was kind of… my final test.

I know what you’re thinking—what the hell did you do this time? Relax. Let’s not judge, or call for my castration, until you’ve heard the whole story.

And hold on tight, because you’re in for a wild ride. Did you expect anything less?

I received an ARC of Tied in exchange for my honest opinion and I was super excited about it. I was ready to spend some time with one of my all-time favourite book boyfriends, DREW EVANS. I loved the other books in this series but it sure is nice to get back to Drew’s point of view.  Have I mentioned that I love him?

This book picks up some time after Twisted and now Drew and Kate are about to be married. We get to see what goes on in their pre-wedding celebrations – IN VEGAS!

Now, if you haven’t read the other books, I would advise you to look away because of a tiny spoiler*******************************I loved the moments Drew has with his son! Especially the bribery moment. You’ll see what I mean when you read it.

Another thing I loved was his interaction with Billy, Kate’s ex. His plan to help Billy with his dating skills is not so much to help Billy but to get him away from Kate.  As always, Drew made me laugh…especially a drunken Drew.

It makes me sad to think that it’s the end of the line for this series, as this is the last book, but having it in Drew’s perspective is soooooo good!

Emma Chase once again had me laughing out loud and falling in love with Drew Evans all over again.  I gave this book five cups of the good stuff!!!

OH!!!! BEFORE I LET YOU GO…I’d like to just mention that Sebastian York will be reading Tied on audio.  If you’ve never heard this man’s voice, do yourself a HUGE favour and go listen to him in Tangled.  His voice is sex!!!! I could listen to him recite the alphabet and be in my happy place.  Trust me on this.  DO IT!!! You’ll thank me later.

There’s a light in her eyes that wasn’t there when I came home.  Knowing I help put it there makes me proud of myself – not that that’s an unusual feeling, but in this case it’s especially awesome.

Tamed

ISHO SummaryStop me if you’ve heard this one before: girl meets player, they fall in love, player changes his ways.

It’s a good story. But it’s not our story. Ours is a lot more colorful.

When I met Dee I knew right away that she was special. When she met me, she thought I was anything but special—I was exactly like every other guy who’d screwed her over and let her down. It took some time to convince her otherwise, but turns out I can make a convincing argument when sex is at stake.

You might know where this story’s headed. But the best part isn’t where we ended up.

It’s how we got there.

TAMED goes back in time to the Tangled days. But this time around, it’s not Drew dishing out the advice and opinions—it’s his best friend Matthew, who of course is dealing with Dee Dee.

isho-my-opinion2I was excited to get the ARC for this book (in exchange for my honest opinion, of course).  I loved Tangled and wanted to know more about Matthew and Dee (Drew and Kate’s best friends).  The time line for this story happens at the same time that Drew and Kate’s story happened.

I loved Matthew right off the top.  He was funny and sweet and HOLY HELL he rides a motorcycle!!!!  Much like Drew, Matthew is successful in his career and with the ladies.

As for Dee, I loved her too.  She’s smart (Jeez! She’s really a rocket scientist!), she’s beautiful and she’s a loyal friend. She’s also been hurt before and lucky for her Matthew is just the guy to help her get past that.

One of my favourite parts of this book is the interaction between Matthew and Drew, during Drew’s “flu” period. [Note:  Yes! I love Drew Evans and I can’t get enough of him, even if it’s just through knocks on a wall for yes and no answers].

As always, Emma Chase has a wonderful writing style that is both funny and touching.  She can write a male point of view like no other! I gave Tamed 5 yummy cups of steamy latte that made me feel all warm and fuzzy.

ISHO ExcerptWe return to Alexandra’s side and I can tell by his expression that he’s going to ask to be excused again. But then, Drew seems to decide on a different strategy. He smiles deviously. “Hey look—Squeaky’s here.”
“Who?” Alexandra inquires.
Drew gestures with his wine glass. “Curly haired brunette, in the blue dress near the bar.”
Lexi’s head bobs until she spots the lady in question. “That’s . . .Alyson Bradford.”
Drew shrugs. “She’ll always be Squeaky to me.”
“Why do you call her squeaky?”
Mentally I shake my head. Because Alexandra should’ve known better.
“She squeaks when she comes.”
“What?”
Casually, Drew explains, “Like a dog’s chew toy.” He holds up his hand, opening and closing it. “Squeak, squeak, squeak, squeeeeeak. At least she did when we were seventeen, but I don’t think that’s a condition she’d outgrow.”
“How do you know that?” Alexandra asks, expectedly grossed out. “When did you have sex with Alyson Bradford?”
Drew looks to the ceiling, recalling the event. “Um . . .junior year. It was in the dark days following our loss to St. Bartholomew’s in the playoffs. I wouldn’t say she was my rock bottom, but she was close.”
Lexi turns away. “Eck . . .forget it, I don’t want to know.” If it’s one thing The Bitch can’t stomach, it’s detailed stories of her brother’s sex-capades. Which is precisely why Drew says, “She also does this nasty thing with her tongue . . .”
Alexandra clasps her eyes shut. “Alright! You know what? Fine—if you want to go that badly, then go. If you want to leave me in my hour of need . . .”
She never should have given him an out. Drew smiles brightly, puts his glass on the tray of a passing waiter and kisses her cheek. “You’re the best sister ever. Bye.”

What I am currently reading:

Taming the Storm by Samantha Towle

This is the third book in The Storm series.  I haven’t been able to put it down.  I’m really loving Lyla and Tom.   The other two books in the series were so good. I had no doubt I’d love this book.  At the rate I’m going, I’ll be done this book today.

What I recently read:

Heart of Stone by Christine Warren

This book was a total surprise to me.  I found out about it after being offered an ARC of the second book in the series.  The concept of Gargoyles and romance TOGETHER got me excited (I was a big fan of the Gargoyles cartoon).  I decided to have a look at this.  I LOVED IT!!! I’m looking forward to reading book two in the series. Every now and then a good book comes along that reminds me that I do enjoy paranormal romance.  This is definitely one of those books.

Tamed by Emma Chase

If you’ve read and enjoyed Tangled then you have to know that you’ll love this one.  This is about Drew and Kate’s friends Matthew and Dee.  I love Emma Chase’s writing style and she is writes a man’s point of view like no one else.  I really enjoyed this book and will be posting my opinion on it next week.

What I hope to read next:

At Peace by Kristen Ashley

I LOVE KRISTEN ASHLEY!!! There I said it! If you know me, you also know this is not much of a revelation.  This is book two in The Burg Series. For some strange and bizarre reason, I’ve only read the first book. I don’t know why I haven’t read this whole series yet.  Yesterday, the fifth book in this series was released and it inspired me to get to reading this.

There you have my W…W…W… for this week.  Now tell me what yours are.  You know…SHARING IS CARING!

What I’m currently reading:

A Flawed Heart by April Emerson

I just received this ARC for my honest opinion.  I just started it and so far so good.  I will post my opinion soon.

What I recently read:

It was a long weekend for me and I was able to read and read and read…

UnBeloved by Madeline Sheehan

I had been waiting for this for a while.  Like everyone else that loves this series, we finally got to read Dorothy’s story. As usual I got sucked into this world of bad ass bikers and I did not want to leave.  As expected Madeline Sheehan did not disappoint. If you haven’t read this series, do yourself a favour and go read it.

Irresistible Force by D.D. Ayres

I received this ARC from NetGalley and went into it not knowing what to expect.  What a pleasant surprise.  I really enjoyed it. Sexy and suspenseful is a very nice combination.  My opinion will post closer to release date.

Cooper by Harper Sloan

What a great book.  If you’ve read the other books in the Corps Security Series then you definitely don’t want to miss this one.  I’ve always said that Greg Cage is my favourite from this series.  He still is but Asher Cooper is a very close second.  Harper Sloan makes you love all of these characters.

What I hope to read next:

Tamed by Emma Chase

Having loved Tangled and Twisted, I am definitely looking forward to reading this one.  I love Emma Chase’s writing style.  I have no doubt that I will love this one.

Time for you to tell me what your W…W…W… are.  SHARING IS CARING!
