ISHO SummaryEvery story has two sides, and in this new book, the epic love story between Kiera and Kellan is shown through his eyes.

All Kellan Kyle needs is his guitar, and some clean sheets of paper. Growing up in a house that was far from a home, he learned a hard lesson: You’re worthless. Now his life is comfortably filled with passionate music, loyal band mates, and fast women…until he meets her.

Kiera makes him ache for more. Makes him feel for the first time that he’s worth more. But there’s one problem – she’s his best friend’s girl.

Just when Kellan thought his emotional defenses were rock solid, Kiera’s indecisive heart wreaks havoc on his soul, changing him forever. Losing Kiera is not an option.

isho-my-opinion2I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.  When I saw that it was an option on NetGalley I did not hesitate in requesting it and I may or may not have checked my email every hour to find out if I was approved.

First off, I have to say that Thoughtless is one of my all time favourite books and that Kellan Kyle will always be one of my forever book boyfriends.  Being able to read this from Kellan’s point of view is just….WOW!

I found myself getting weepy from finding out the extent of the neglect and abuse he endured from his parents.  I already had some idea but not the full extent of it.  Because of his childhood Kellan thinks himself to be unloveable and unworthy of love.  This was the one thing in this book that keeps becoming more and more evident and broke my heart even more than what Kiera put him through. Just for the record, I still wanted to stab Kiera [I know. I know. Violence is never the answer!].

I loved finding out what Kellan was up to every time Kiera didn’t know where he was.  She was always so wrong! Kellan’s POV broke my heart so many times.  He’s such a beautiful person. *swoon*

I gave Thoughtful four hot and steamy espresso’s from THE espresso stand. Yes! From THAT espresso stand!

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

Here’s where I’m at:

What I’m currently reading:

Thoughtful by S.C. Stephens

With a show of hands, who hasn’t read Thoughtless yet? Just what I thought. Not many people haven’t read Thoughtless.  Which means not many people out there that don’t love Kellan Kyle.  This book is Thoughtless from Kellan’s perspective. Squeeeeeeeeeeeee  I just started it and will post my review later in the month.

What I recently read:

The Traveling Man by Jane Harvey-Berrick

What can I say about this book?  I. LOVED. IT. It was beautiful!  It was more than I expected.  It is the first book in a duet and I cannot wait until the second book is released.

Bringing Home The Bad Boy by Jessica Lemmon

I saw this book come up in my Goodreads feed and just decided to read it.  I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the second book in the series.

What I hope to read next:

Kyland by Mia Sheridan

I have a few books by Mia Sheridan on my to read list.  I’ve only read Archer’s Voice and it was one of my favourite books last year.  If this book is anything like Archer’s Voice I know I’m going to love it.

I’d love to know what your W…W…W… are.

Teaser Tuesday: Thoughtful by S.C. Stephens

Tuesday Teaser

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Ana Carter, and Cassandra Livingston, at So Many Books So Little Time. Anyone can do it.  All you have to do is: (1): Grab your current read. (2): Open it to a random page. (3): Share 1 or 2 “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page.  BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS!! (4): Make sure you also mention the author and title.

“Do you have one?” She pointed over at Griffin. I looked back at him. … “Tattoo?” I asked, turning back around.  Shaking my head, I told her, “No, I can’t think of anything I’d want permanently etched on my skin.”

The Book Barista: So Many Books!!!!

The Book Barista

The last couple of weeks have been crazy as far as book releases go.  So many books that I desperately want to read have been released.

Of all these new releases I really think that Reckless by S.C. Stephens is the most highly anticipated.

Can love survive when life gets Reckless?

When the band hits it big, Kiera and Kellan must ask themselves: Can their love for each other survive the constant pressures of superstardom? The friendships they’ve formed, the new family they’ve found, and the history they’ve forged will all play a part in helping them navigate the turbulent waters of the band’s exploding popularity. A greedy executive hell-bent on success, a declining pop star looking for an edge, and a media circus that twists lies into truths are just some of the obstacles the lovers will have to overcome if they are going to remain together. Fame comes with a price-but will it cost Kiera and Kellan everything?

I know everyone has been patiently waiting for more Kellan Kyle in this third book of the Thoughtless series.  I just started this one so I’m just bracing myself for the angst.  I’m also wanting more Griffin.  I love him too!
