*This book is intended for mature audiences*
I received an ARC of The Apartment in exchange for my honest opinion. I was very excited about this and got to reading it right away.
Lily and Ethan meet entirely by accident but they immediately have a connection. Their sexual chemistry is right off the charts. They enter into a relationship that is only about them and totally anonymous and in the moment. Nothing from the outside world comes into that apartment, not even their names.
They each have issues that they are trying to deal with. He was in a relationship that was quite toxic and she is in a relationship that is totally unsatisfying and leaves her feeling unappreciated.
They find themselves becoming more and more involved and as the reader I found myself holding my breath on a few occasions where, unbeknownst to them, their lives criss-crossed.
It does end on a bit of a cliffie but I knew going in that this was the first book in a series. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long for book two.
I loved this book and give it five very strong, very bold cups of the best dark roast coffee.
For the past few years she’s been a closet romance writer in her spare time and would love nothing more than to make it a full-time career. When she’s not writing her next steamy love scene, her interests include reading, sketching, and annihilating her friends and family in movie trivia.
