ISHO Summary

The one guy she can’t have is the one she can’t forget.

Liam Quinn is one of the biggest movie stars in the world…and the only man Elissa Holt has ever truly loved.

After being out of her life for six years, he and his gorgeous fiancé are set to star in the new Broadway show Elissa is stage managing. The only trouble is, when late night rehearsals bring Elissa and Liam together, the line between what is and what could have been gets blurred. Now one moment of weakness is about to create a scandal that will echo around the world.

Elissa knows that falling for Liam again would be a tragedy in the making, but as any good romantic knows, love doesn’t always follow the script.

Do you believe in fate?  Do you believe that what is meant to be will be?  This is a theme that I found coming up again and again throughout this book.

I loved the previous two books in the series but I think this one is my favourite.  I felt so much for Elissa and Liam.  Can you imagine loving someone with all your heart and soul and not being able to be with that person?  That would be crushing.  The idea that sometimes things aren’t what they seem and that due to circumstances, that at first may have seemed like a good idea, you have no control over your life.  Sadness.  Despair.  Frustration.  Elation.  These are some of the feelings I had while reading this book.  I was rooting so hard for these characters.  Not just the two main ones but a couple of the secondary ones too.

Also, as a member of a certain fandom which shall not be named, parts of the storyline seemed to be art imitating life…well, depending on which end of the fandom you sit.

This book grabbed me right from the beginning and I enjoyed it right through.  I loved the story and the characters so it was an easy choice for me to give it five hot, steamy and delicious lattés.

ISHO SummaryHow do you fix a love that’s been broken beyond repair?

For years, Cassie Taylor tried to forget about Ethan Holt. He was the one great love of her life, and when he failed to return her love, a part of her died forever. Or so she thought. Now she and Ethan are sharing a Broadway stage, and he’s determined to win her back. Claiming to be a changed man, he’s finally able to say all the things she needed to hear years ago, but can she believe him? What makes this time different from all his other broken promises?

Ethan knows he can’t change their tumultuous past, but if he’s going to have any chance of being with the woman he loves, he’ll need to convince Cassie that her future belongs with him.

Don’t miss this stunning conclusion to the unforgettable love story that captivated over two million fans online.

isho-my-opinion2This book picks up exactly where Bad Romeo left off.  Cassie is trying to decide if she will, or even can,  give Ethan ANOTHER chance.  Having been burned before by his inability to commit to her, she is rightfully hesitant.

Like the first book, we learn of their history through flashbacks.  Through these flashbacks I totally understand why Cassie is afraid to let him in again.

Ethan has not always been able to trust people.  He’s come a long way and is now ready to prove to Cassie that he truly does love her and that they should be together.  He also understands her reluctance to give their relationship another chance.  Ethan has become a patient man.

It was a pleasure to read this story and to take the journey with Ethan and Cassie. I will gladly read more from Leisa Rayven!  I gave Broken Juliet five very hot, extremely delicious cappuccinos with all that steamed milk on top.

ISHO SummaryWhen Cassie Taylor met Ethan Holt at acting school, sparks flew. She was the good girl actress. He was the bad boy about campus. But one fated casting choice for Romeo and Juliet changed it all. Like the characters they were playing, Cassie and Ethan’s romance seemed destined. Until he broke her heart and betrayed her trust. Now the A-list heartthrob is back in her life and turning her world around. One touch at a time.

Cast as romantic leads once again, they’re forced to confront raw memories of the heartbreaking lows and pulse-pounding highs of their secret college affair. But they’ll also discover that people who rub each other the wrong way often make the best sparks.

isho-my-opinion2I received an advance copy from NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

What first caught my eye was the beautiful cover of this book.  I love it.  It made me want to know what was inside the cover.

This book switches between present day and the past from Cassie’s point of view.  Part of the past is told from Cassie’s diary entries.  I loved these entries, some of them made me laugh…out loud.

Throughout the book I felt frustrated with Ethan.  I could see that there is so much more to him and his feelings but he was one hell of a stubborn boy. There were moments when he actually opened up to Cassie but you still knew that there was so much more he wasn’t sharing. Just for the record, Ethan is very very very sexy. Just sayin’.

Cassie is one of my favourite female characters.  In the past, she’s used to trying to please everyone at the expense of being who she really is. She has moments of insecurity (what girl doesn’t?) but, through all that, she knows there’s more to Ethan than what he lets on and has faith in him and his talent until he hurts her.  In the present, she is unable to put all the pain and hurt that Ethan caused behind her and yet is unable to forget or stop wanting him.

This book is only the first part of their story and definitely is a cliffhanger.  Part two is scheduled for release in April 2015 and I cannot wait for it.

I give Bad Romeo five hot and delicious, steamy cups of java.
