ISHO Summary

Liam “Hunter” Blake hates the Reapers MC. Born and raised a Devil’s Jack, he knows his duty. He’ll defend his club from their oldest enemies—the Reapers—using whatever weapons he can find. But why use force when the Reapers’ president has a daughter who’s alone and vulnerable? Hunter has wanted her from the minute he saw her, and now he has an excuse to take her.

Em has lived her entire life in the shadow of the Reapers. Her overprotective father, Picnic, is the club’s president. The last time she had a boyfriend, Picnic shot him. Now the men in her life are far more interested in keeping her daddy happy than showing her a good time. Then she meets a handsome stranger—a man who isn’t afraid to treat her like a real woman. One who isn’t afraid of her father. His name is Liam, and he’s The One.

Or so she thinks.

I received an advance copy of Devil’s Game in exchange for my honest opinion and boy was I excited about it.  I was anxious to get Liam  aka Hunter and Em’s story since being introduced to him in Reaper’s Legacy (the second book in the Reapers MC series).

Em and Liam meet online and hit it off perfectly right off the bat.  Em is hopeful that he’s the guy that’s not going to care who her father is.  Of course, she doesn’t know that he is very well aware of who her father is.

If you haven’t read Reaper’s Legacy this is a spoiler SO LOOK AWAY!!!!  They get caught in the middle of a stand-off between the Reapers and the Devil’s Jacks and Em gets kidnapped by Hunter. I loved that we finally get to find out what happened between Em and Hunter during the kidnapping.

Em and Liam/Hunter have great chemistry (pronounced very sexy times) but I’m not gonna lie, at times I felt real desperation and sadness for them.  I couldn’t see how things would ever work out for them because of their loyalties to their respective clubs. Talk about star-crossed lovers!!!  Luckily, I had faith in the author and was hopeful that somehow, they would find a way to make things work and be together.  As always, Joanna Wylde did not let me down!!!!

I loved this book.  I really loved Em and Hunter together and I enjoyed the new characters that we’ve been introduced to and hope to read more about them in the books to come.  Devil’s Game got five hot and steamy cups of coffee with a few good shots of Irish Cream put in to make them even more awesome.
