The last couple of weeks have been crazy as far as book releases go. So many books that I desperately want to read have been released.
Of all these new releases I really think that Reckless by S.C. Stephens is the most highly anticipated.
Can love survive when life gets Reckless?
When the band hits it big, Kiera and Kellan must ask themselves: Can their love for each other survive the constant pressures of superstardom? The friendships they’ve formed, the new family they’ve found, and the history they’ve forged will all play a part in helping them navigate the turbulent waters of the band’s exploding popularity. A greedy executive hell-bent on success, a declining pop star looking for an edge, and a media circus that twists lies into truths are just some of the obstacles the lovers will have to overcome if they are going to remain together. Fame comes with a price-but will it cost Kiera and Kellan everything?
I know everyone has been patiently waiting for more Kellan Kyle in this third book of the Thoughtless series. I just started this one so I’m just bracing myself for the angst. I’m also wanting more Griffin. I love him too!
Next up is Thrown By A Curve by Jaci Burton
Sports medicine specialist Alicia Riley has the job of her dreams, until she’s assigned to star pitcher Garrett Scott. Undergoing shoulder rehab, it’s make it or break it time for Garrett, and he needs to focus to get back on the mound in time for opening day. But close proximity and combustible chemistry is a dangerous combination, and both Alicia and Garrett have a lot to lose if this doesn’t work.
I am excited about the fifth book in the Play by Play series. I have really enjoyed reading about the Riley’s. Who can resist hot sexy athletes? Not I!!!
Then it’s Beauty Awakened by Gena Showalter.
His name is Koldo. He is scarred, powerful, his control legendary-and he lives only for vengeance, determined to punish the angel who viciously removed his wings. But if he yields to the forces of hatred, he will be kicked from the heavens, eternally damned.
She is his last hope. Nicola Lane was born with a defective heart, yet this fragile human shows surprising strength as demons stalk her every move, determined to end her. She is the key to Koldo’s deliverance…and his downfall. Though he fights duty, destiny and his first addictive taste of desire, his toughest battle will be the one for Nicola’s life-even if he has to sacrifice his own….
This is the second book in Gena Showalter’s Angels of the Dark series (a spin-off of her Lords of the Underworld series). I find sexy angels who aren’t necessarily all good quite interesting.
And I definitely can’t wait to read Edge of Dawn by Lara Adrian.
Twenty years after the terror of First Dawn—when mankind learned that vampires lived secretly among them—the threat of violence reigns as the two species struggle to coexist. The only group preserving the fragile harmony is the Order, an elite cadre of Breed warriors dedicated to protecting humans and vampires alike. And in this precarious world of torn loyalties and shattered trust, Mira, a fiery squad captain, finds that every fight bears an intensely personal cost.
Raised among the Order, Mira has always believed in the warrior’s code of swift—and even lethal—justice. But the one thing she desires more than the Order’s hard-won acceptance is Kellan Archer, a sexy but troubled Breed fighter. In love with him since childhood, Mira once broke through his tough exterior during an unexpected night of rapture, but the next day he mysteriously disappeared, never to return.
Kellan didn’t think he would ever see Mira again—or have to confront the truth of why he left. After abandoning the Order years ago, he now leads a band of human rebels intent on carrying out their own vigilante rule of law. Yet a high-profile kidnapping assignment brings him face-to-face with the past he sought to avoid, and the striking woman he has tried desperately to forget. And as tensions mount and the risk of bloodshed grows, Kellan and Mira must take sides—between the competing missions that dominate their lives, and the electrifying passion that claims their hearts.
Originally, I was reluctant to get into another long series but the Vampires were far too alluring and kept calling to me. It seemed that the series had come to an end but apparently there is now a whole new generation whose stories need to be told. I am looking forward to this one and really hope *fingers crossed* that some of the original Order make appearances in this book.
These are but a few of the books that I am excited about reading.
